Hunter Chavis

My name is Hunter Chavis, LAPC. I strive to provide a warm, collaborative, and non-judgmental space for patients navigating life's challenges. Grounded in a person-centered philosophy, I believe that a strong, trusting therapeutic relationship is the foundation of meaningful growth. I approach every session with deep empathy, openness, and authenticity, ensuring you feel truly heard and supported.

Because no two individuals are alike, I tailor my approach to fit your unique goals and lived experience, utilizing concepts from various therapy modalities. Whether you are navigating a major life transition, managing stress, or seeking deeper self-understanding, our work together will focus on building practical coping strategies while fostering long-term emotional resilience.

I work with adults (18+) and welcome individuals from all backgrounds. Much of my experience is with individuals managing chronic or persistent health conditions. Given the unique emotional, physical, and relational toll that long-term medical challenges can take, and I am passionate about helping patients navigate the complex intersection of physical and mental well-being.

I earned my Bachelor of Science in Psychology from Arizona State University and Master of Science in Psychology from Augusta University. I currently practice under the supervision of Carolyn Ramp, LPC, NCC, ACS, CPCS.
